Job summary

Ahold Delhaize USA is seeking an experienced IT professional to lead SAN/NAS administration and enterprise storage initiatives. The role focuses on upgrades, performance tuning, and observability while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with vendors to meet SLAs and security standards.

You will deploy and upgrade network infrastructure, automate tasks, and collaborate with Engineering and Product teams on releases and maintenance, ensuring clear change communications and documented support

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/IT/Engineering or related field.
5+ years of SAN/NAS administration in enterprise environments.
Experience with at least one major storage vendor platform and enterprise backup solutions.
Strong skills in zoning/masking, multipathing, and performance analysis.
Experience automating operational tasks with scripting tools.
Proficiency with monitoring tools and ITSM/ticketing processes.
Ability to lead complex changes and mentor less experienced team members.
Effective communication and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Deploy and upgrade enterprise network infrastructure (switches, routers, WLAN controllers/APs, SD WAN edges, load balancers).
Tune network performance and availability using telemetry, synthetic tests, and capacity trends.
Resolve complex incidents and eliminate recurring issues through problem management.
Automate routine configuration and validation tasks; contribute modules/playbooks to shared libraries.
Collaborate with Engineering and Product on releases, maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Communicate planned and unplanned changes, providing status, impact, and remediation clearly.
Validate compliance with operational metrics, SLAs, and architecture standards; report gaps and actions.
Oversee day to day vendor/carrier tasks and verify service credits or escalations when needed.
Maintain current diagrams, asset records, and knowledge articles to support consistent operations.
Guide junior team members through complex changes and incident handling.
May be called upon to support critical escalations and must be available during urgent IT incidents as needed.
