Job summary

Mars seeks a senior data, analytics and AI leader to shape the future of data for Mars Pet Nutrition’s $7B unit. You will translate commercial needs into scalable data products and define the data roadmap and governance.

The role oversees advanced analytics, forecasting, and AI readiness, partnering with cross-functional teams, and evolving BI platforms such as PowerBI and Cascade to drive data storytelling for VP-level decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, or related field; MBA preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in data management, analytics, BI, or commercial insights.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of data environments and analytics tools (Azure Databricks, SQL, Python, Alteryx) and BI platforms (PowerBI, Tableau).
• Experience managing large datasets (POS, loyalty, panel, Nielsen/IRI) and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Define Data Roadmap & Governance: Shape and execute the long-term data roadmap for Insights data assets and ensure data integrity, consistency, and scalability.
• Drive Advanced Analytics & Strategic Forecasting: Oversee category dynamics, volume modeling, and forecasting to guide planning for a $7B business.
• Pioneer AI & Next-Gen Capabilities: Assess tech readiness for AI integration and develop innovative analytical solutions and self-service tools.
• Evolve BI Platforms & Tooling: Lead the product roadmap for analytics platforms and dashboards (PowerBI, Cascade).
• Expand the Data Ecosystem: Source and integrate new data sources to increase market coverage and analytics capabilities.
• Partner Cross-Functionally: Collaborate with D&A, Data Foundations, Tiger Analytics, Marketing and Global teams to operationalize data pipelines.
• Champion Data Storytelling & Best Practices: Guide teams on data usage and interpretation to maximize business impact.
