Job summary

General Motors seeks a Lead System Integration Engineer to design and scale enterprise integrations and data pipelines, connecting Google Workspace, SaaS platforms, and GM core systems with secure, reusable patterns.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, security, and TPM teams to ensure reliable data flow and platform interoperability across the enterprise, delivering production‑ready pipelines and reusable templates.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands‑on experience in integration engineering or enterprise application integration within complex environments.
• Strong systems thinking with experience mapping dependencies across applications, data layers, identity services, and business processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust, observable integrations using APIs, webhooks, connectors, and middleware.
• Define source‑to‑destination mappings, transformation logic, and monitoring approaches for reliable operations.
• Modernize legacy workflows into scalable Google‑aligned integration patterns across GM platforms.
• Collaborate with Security, Privacy, Identity, ILM, and Retention teams to support regulated data workflows.
• Support coexistence during phased migrations and provide engineering guidance across teams.
