Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Sr. Teamcenter PLM Solutions Engineer within the Product Development PLM IT Organization.

The role acts as the liaison between engineering stakeholders and delivery teams, transforming business needs into scalable Teamcenter configurations and BOM structures for vehicle programs. You will define functional blueprints, map product structures, and work with architects, data migrations, and partners to ensure aligned deployments, governance, and adoption across programs.

Qualifications

• 5-7 yrs experience in Siemens Teamcenter PLM architecture, deployment and config
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
• Experience installing, patching, tuning, and configuring multi-tier Teamcenter environments
• Understanding vehicle program lifecycles, component tracking, and variant-rich configuration management
• Experience leading large PLM migrations, data migrations, and global rollouts

Responsibilities

• Conduct workshops to translate data structures and change cycles into technical specs
• Design end-to-end multi-level Product BOMs and variant configurations
• Define use of out-of-the-box Teamcenter vs customizations and map business objects for BMIDE
• Collaborate with PLM leads and developers to guide custom development
• Architect engineering change management workflows and UAT validation
• Lead and document business process models, stories, and backlogs
• Plan and execute comprehensive UAT and end-user training
• Facilitate workshops with end-users to elicit clear requirements and process flows
