Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Developer contract position in Charlotte, NC. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET and Java-based microservices in a distributed systems environment.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, optimizing SQL/NoSQL databases, and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle. You will troubleshoot production issues and address vulnerabilities to ensure high availability in cloud-native environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8-10 years of hands-on experience in .NET and Java application development within enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Java (8/11/17), .NET, microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, SQL/NoSQL databases, and distributed systems.
• Proven expertise in CI/CD, cloud-native technologies, middleware/infrastructure projects, vulnerability remediation, and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable .NET and Java-based microservices in a distributed systems environment.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs while ensuring high performance, reliability, and security of applications.
• Develop, optimize, and manage SQL/NoSQL databases to support enterprise-scale applications and data processing.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, Maven, and Gradle for seamless application delivery.
• Troubleshoot production issues, fix application vulnerabilities, and ensure high system availability in cloud-native environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture design, middleware/infrastructure initiatives, and performance optimization efforts.
