Job summary

Akina seeks an Agile Developer 3 in Annapolis Junction, MD, to modernize a legacy system with a microservices approach. The role focuses on Java Spring Boot microservices, Python optimization of AWS services, and building RESTful interfaces within a CI/CD framework.

The ideal candidate will have strong Agile experience, collaboration skills, and hands-on cloud development experience, enabling rapid delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 9 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree plus 7 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
• An Associate’s degree plus 11 years of relevant experience or high school diploma/GED plus 13 years of experience may be considered for individuals with in-depth experience that is clearly related to the position.

Responsibilities

• Write Java Spring Boot microservices using AWS native technologies.
• Use Python to optimize AWS services such as Lambdas, Step Functions, EC2 and S3.
• Build REST services with Spring to filter and select complex data objects.
• Implement CI/CD principles using Maven, Gitlab and GitOps.
• Participate in agile development and delivery of software.
• Collaborate effectively with team members.
