Job summary

Akina, Inc. is seeking an Agile Developer 2 to modernize a legacy system with a microservices-based architecture. You will write Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS, build REST services, and support CI/CD in an Agile environment.

The role requires 6 years of related experience or a Master’s with 4 years plus a Bachelor’s in a related field. On-call rotation may be required, location Annapolis Junction, Maryland.

Qualifications

• 6 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree plus 4 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Ability to support an on-call rotation.
• Proven experience writing Java Spring Boot microservices on AWS with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Modernize a legacy operational system using a microservices-based architecture.
• Write Java Spring Boot microservice applications using AWS native technologies.
• Build REST services with Spring to filter and select complex data objects.
• Support CI/CD and Agile software delivery.
