Job summary

Centene Corporation in Indianapolis seeks a software engineer who designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise solutions. You will work with data modelers, architects, analysts, and SMEs to deliver SQL Server/T-SQL storage, ETL, and letter-generation capabilities using C# and SSIS.

You’ll optimize data flows, support production issues, document designs, and contribute to data marts and EDW feeds. The role blends hands-on development with collaboration across IT and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field with 4–6 years of related experience.
• 4–6 years of Microsoft SQL Server development experience.
• 3+ years of C# development experience.
• 3+ years of SSIS development experience.
• Experience with EDI preferred.

Responsibilities

• Designs, develops, and implements complex enterprise software solutions.
• Create, optimize, and re-engineer SQL Server data transformations.
• Own, maintain, and enhance the in-house letter application using C# and SSIS.
• Develop and support SSIS packages for ETL and document workflows.
• Schedule, monitor, and troubleshoot jobs using ActiveBatch.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and designs.
• Communicate issues to stakeholders and design solutions.
• Contribute to data mart/EDW feeds and reports.
