Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead enterprise data integration efforts in a regulated industry. You will drive design, governance, and roadmap execution for APIs, ETL/ELT pipelines, and cloud data platforms.

The role requires 7-10+ years in data engineering and integration, with hands-on experience across Snowflake, dbt, Databricks, and integration tools. Mentoring staff and aligning with compliance are key aspects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
7-10+ years of experience in enterprise integration and data engineering.
Hands-on with modern data platforms and integration tooling.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise integration and data engineering solutions, including APIs, middleware, event-driven architecture, ELT pipelines, and cloud data platforms.
Define and execute an enterprise integration roadmap aligned with business and technology priorities across functions.
Architect and oversee integrations between enterprise SaaS apps, data warehouses, analytics environments, and partner systems.
Establish integration standards, monitoring frameworks, documentation practices, data contracts, and governance processes.
Partner with stakeholders to develop data governance, data quality, master data management, lineage, metadata, and stewardship capabilities.
Ensure data solutions meet regulatory, compliance, security, auditability, and validation requirements within a regulated environment.
Lead and mentor technical resources, vendor partners, and consultants while driving operational excellence and continuous improvement.
