Job summary

Harvard University is seeking an Enterprise Services Infrastructure Engineer to help design, deploy, and support scalable IT infrastructure across cloud, VMware, and Windows Server environments. You will work with engineers, administrators, and developers to optimize performance, uptime, and security.

The role emphasizes hands-on administration, automation with PowerShell, Python, or Ansible, and documentation in ServiceNow.

Qualifications

Minimum five years of post-secondary education or relevant work experience.
Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages.
Certifications such as VCP or Windows Server certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

Implement and manage enterprise cloud infrastructure with emphasis on performance, cost, and security.
Oversee VMware virtualization operations including ESXi hosts and vCenter.
Configure and manage VMware components, including VDI/AVD deployment.
Install, configure, and manage Windows Server OS, AD, and Group Policy.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud, VMware, and Windows technologies.
Develop and maintain documentation using ServiceNow.
Ensure uptime and optimize service delivery.
