Job summary

Dallas County is seeking a seasoned Enterprise Architect to lead the IT architecture program, aligning business objectives with IT infrastructure and applications. You will drive governance, security, scalability, and interoperability across the county’s technology stack.

Lead cross‑functional teams, shape enterprise standards, and guide large‑scale design initiatives. Emphasize risk management, regulatory compliance, and cost‑effective modernization across platforms.

Qualifications

• Education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field of study.
• Five (5) years of work‑related experience in IT, including two (2) years in an architecture or solution design role.
• Certifications (Preferred): AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional; AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty or Generative AI Developer Professional; dbt, Airflow, Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platform certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements enterprise-wide IT architecture strategies to enhance service efficiency and scalability.
• Ensures technology solutions align with County-wide digital transformation goals.
• Defines and enforces best practices for solution scalability, security, and performance.
• Oversees system modernization, cloud adoption, and infrastructure optimization efforts.
• Collaborates with IT leadership to align enterprise architecture with business priorities.
