Job summary

Associated Wholesale Grocers, Inc. in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Senior Enterprise Applications Engineer to lead modernization of enterprise applications, migrate on-premise systems to the cloud, and manage integrations with vendors and retailers.

You will drive cloud deployments and optimize performance across environments, partnering with leadership to deliver scalable solutions. The role requires deep SDLC knowledge, hands-on development experience, and a proven ability to deliver

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8–12 years of progressive enterprise applications experience.
Experience in structured development environments with code review and deployment processes.
Strong SDLC understanding with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
Experience migrating to cloud-based solutions and applying cloud best practices.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and support cloud-based applications and vendor solutions.
Lead testing activities: strategy, plans, scripts, execution.
Maintain cloud security controls: encryption, access management, monitoring and compliance.
Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize reliability and cost.
