Job summary

Barrow Wise Consulting, LLC is seeking an Application Architect for its WMATA project. The candidate will develop current and future state architectures, lead architecture decisions, and apply TOGAF and other frameworks to guide enterprise baselines across business, information, and infrastructure domains.

Strong communication with stakeholders and experience in governance improvements are essential. Prior transit-operations experience and mentoring abilities are highly valued for collaboration

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required as part of security/compliance.
• 10 years’ experience as an enterprise architect using a standard framework.
• Enterprise Architecture certification (CEA, TOGAF).
• Experience with enterprise architecture repositories and tools (Abacus).
• Experience interviewing and documenting stakeholder inputs to enterprise projects.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Experience in the transit industry and ability to mentor peers.

Responsibilities

• Develop current and future state application architectures, including business transformation and risk/opportunity analysis.
• Lead and manage architecture design, documenting decisions and rationale.
• Apply industry frameworks (FEAF, TOGAF, Zachman) to guide enterprise baselines.
• Review and align technology paradigms with enterprise data center architecture.
• Translate user behavior into enterprise information system elements and workflows.
