Job summary

Apex Systems is seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer in Coppell, Texas. You will deliver Enterprise Application Support for business-critical systems, ensure high availability, and manage incidents with strong collaboration across teams to uphold service levels.

The role requires 6+ years in related tech support roles and hands-on experience with CI/CD, Git/Bitbucket, and monitoring tools. You will engage in on-call rotations and support deployments and DR exercises.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in Application Support, EAS, Production Support, or SRE.
• Hands-on with Git, Bitbucket, branching strategies, and version control.
• Experience with Jenkins pipelines and CI/CD deployment processes.
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, logs, and performance management.
• Strong incident, problem, change, and release management practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide Enterprise Application Support (EAS) for business-critical applications to meet SLAs.
• Resolve critical alerts and production incidents with root-cause analysis.
• Collaborate with business, development, infra, security, and vendors to troubleshoot issues.
• Execute and support pre-prod and prod deployments, upgrades, and change management.
• Leverage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and release management.
• Review code repositories, manage branches, and analyze code changes in Git/Bitbucket.
• Monitor health, analyze performance, and coordinate resolution activities.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce manual work and improve efficiency.
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to high-severity incidents.
• Execute DR tests and validate recovery procedures during exercises.
• Provide responses for audit/compliance requests.
