Job summary

Progressive is advancing its Enterprise AI initiatives, seeking a senior principal data scientist to lead technical strategy and ensure analytical rigor across the organization. You will translate AI capabilities into measurable business value and guide governance, evaluation, and scaling of responsible AI solutions across multiple business lines.

You will partner with business and technology teams to shape how AI drives outcomes, build scalable architectures, and influence senior stakeholders

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools and in using various database tools processing large volumes of data.
• Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus in Econometrics, Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science or related field and 5+ years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools and in using various database tools.
• Master's degree or higher with quantitative focus and 3+ years of relevant experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or Machine Learning tools and in using various database tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level technical leadership and analytical rigor.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple business lines.
• Apply modern AI capabilities to business opportunities and translate them into measurable outcomes.
• Shape, govern, evaluate, and scale responsible AI solutions to support Progressive's business strategy.
