Job summary

Progressive Insurance is seeking a senior principal data scientist on the Enterprise AI team to provide enterprise-level technical leadership and analytical rigor. You’ll report to the Chief AI Officer and influence AI initiatives across business lines.

You will shape, govern, evaluate, and scale responsible AI solutions to support Progressive’s strategy, working with business and technology teams to translate capabilities into measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Statistical/Quantitative Modeling and/or ML tools and in using various database tools for large data.
• Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus and 5+ years in modeling and database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL).
• Master's degree or higher with quantitative focus and 3+ years in modeling and database tools (e.g. Hadoop, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-level technical leadership and analytical rigor across the Enterprise AI team.
• Support enterprise-wide initiatives across multiple business lines and translate AI capabilities into measurable outcomes.
