Moderna is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer, Enterprise AI Enablement to turn AI prototypes into secure, scalable products. You will collaborate with science, business, product, platform, data, and security teams to guide architecture, deployment, and ownership transfer from prototype to production.

You will lead end-to-end productionization, design reusable patterns, and ensure security, traceability, and cost discipline across the stack while delivering durable, high‑quality solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years in software, data, or computational engineering.
• 2+ years with ML/LLM/agentic AI.
• Strong Python and modern web language skills.
• Experience designing modular services and APIs with cloud practices.
• Hands-on experience with LLM workflows, prompts, and evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end productionization of AI applications.
• Refactor early-stage apps into modular services and APIs.
• Provide technical direction across multiple initiatives.
• Create reusable agent skills and deployment patterns.
• Design and evaluate LLM workflows and tool use.
• Diagnose cross‑layer issues and automate solutions.
• Embed security, privacy, and compliance throughout lifecycle.
• Produce architecture docs, API contracts, and runbooks.
• Define and track engineering impact metrics.
