Job summary

Scale AI, Inc. is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed AI Engineer to act as a technical bridge between our AI capabilities and enterprise clients. This hands-on role involves close collaboration to architect custom AI solutions, ensuring successful deployment in production environments.

The ideal candidate should have 8+ years in software engineering, with strong Python skills and experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure. Responsibilities include building data connectors, developing AI agents, and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

Compensation ranges from $252,000 to $315,000 USD, with comprehensive health coverage and benefits.

Qualifications

8+ years of software engineering experience with strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
Production Python expertise with experience in modern ML/AI frameworks.
Experience with cloud platforms and modern data infrastructure.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous requirements.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with enterprise customers to understand their technical infrastructure and data workflows.
Design and implement custom integrations between Scale AI's platform and customer data environments.
Build robust data connectors and ETL pipelines to prepare customer data for AI workflows.
Develop production-grade AI agents tailored to customer use cases across various domains.
Debug complex technical issues across the entire stack to unblock customers.
