Job summary

Westgate Resorts in Orlando is seeking an Engineering Trades Manager to lead the daily operations of the Engineering Department, ensuring safe, efficient maintenance of buildings, equipment, and infrastructure to satisfy guests.

You will supervise skilled trades, coordinate maintenance projects, support capital improvements, and promote a culture of safety and accountability while managing tools, inventory, and vendor relationships.

Qualifications

• ,Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a resort, hospitality, commercial, or maintenance environment.
• -Strong technical knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life safety systems.
• -High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education preferred.
• -Trade certifications or licenses in electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, or related fields are preferred.
• -OSHA certification preferred.
• -Valid driver's license required.
• -Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• -Experience using Microsoft Office and maintenance management systems.
• -Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
• -Ability to identify hazards, troubleshoot issues, and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and supervise engineering trades team members to ensure high performance and accountability.
• Plan, assign, and coordinate daily maintenance operations, work orders, and staffing schedules.
• Oversee preventative maintenance programs and ongoing resort improvement projects.
• Support capital projects by ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.
• Conduct inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and operational improvements.
• Monitor departmental productivity, guest feedback, and work order completion.
• Collaborate with other resort departments to support guest satisfaction and operational needs.
• Provide hands‑on assistance with maintenance operations when needed.
