Job summary

Westgate Vacation Villas & Town Center Resort is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the Engineering Department and drive facility operations to ensure guest satisfaction. The role emphasizes technical leadership across maintenance and safety, with a focus on improving efficiency and coordination within the property.

The candidate will oversee painting, structural repairs, and compliance with blueprints and standards, while coordinating with other supervisors to align on production schedules

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in a resort or commercial environment.
  • Hands-on technical experience with building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, or life safety).
  • OSHA safety certification is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Direct workers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to buildings.
  • Inspect completed work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Study production schedules and estimate worker hours needed.
  • Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  • Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
  • Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving problems.
  • Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
  • Maintain time and production records.
  • Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of departments.

Job Description

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead and oversee the Engineering Department, applying your strong technical expertise and leadership abilities to ensure efficient facility operations. Your guidance will help maintain exceptional guest satisfaction while driving ongoing improvements across our property.

As Engineering Manager, you will:

  • Directworkers engaged in painting and performing structural repairs to masonry, woodwork, and furnishings of buildings.
  • Inspectcompleted work for conformance to blueprints, specifications, and standards.
  • Studyproduction schedules and estimates worker hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
  • Interpretcompany policies to workers and enforces safety regulations.
  • Establishor adjustwork procedures to meet production schedules.
  • Suggestchanges in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew.
  • Analyzeand resolvework problems or assists workers in solving work problems.
  • Initiateor suggestplans to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  • Maintaintime and production records.
  • Conferwith other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.

  • Must regularly lift, move, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
