Job summary

JT4, LLC seeks an Engineering Technician IV to support engineering and design staff during installation, maintenance, testing, calibration, and operation of diverse electronic and mechanical equipment at company and client sites.

The role requires SME knowledge of telemetry systems, RF theory, and the ability to train junior technicians. Travel, overtime, and the potential for security clearance are expected elements of the job.

Qualifications

• Vocational/technical training beyond high school or military equivalent.
• Minimum of seven (7) years of job-related experience.
• Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software.
• Must possess a valid, state issued driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and be a US citizen.

Responsibilities

• Install, monitor, and service equipment and systems at company and client sites.
• Assist with test, evaluation, check-out, and certification tasks.
• Perform validations/verifications of various electronic systems.
• Review engineering change proposals for equipment impacts.
• Assist in accomplishing engineering change instructions.
• Develop technical data for maintenance systems, manuals, procedures, and updates.
• Support systems engineering activities with SME knowledge.
• Maintain filing systems, databases, and logs for tracking status and inventory.
• Provide on-site customer interface for installation, testing, fabrication, and other tasks.
• Adhere to QA, safety, and engineering documentation standards.
• Provide data/evaluation for components and systems per contract requirements.
• Train junior technicians and assist in technical proposals.
• Work independently or with a team and be available for overtime, varying shifts, and travel.
