Responsibilities

• Assemble or install equipment or parts requiring simple wiring, soldering, or connecting.
• Replace components and wiring circuits.
• Repair simple electronic equipment.
• Take test readings using common instruments such as digital multimeters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.
• Perform assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed.
• Select or adapt standard procedures or equipment using applicable precedents.
• Receive initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed.
• Perform recurring work independently.
• Construct components, subunits, or simple models or adapt standard equipment.
• Troubleshoot and correct malfunctions.
