Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 10 years of field and/or lab technician experience in engineering.
• Accreditations in soils, concrete, and asphalt (WAQTC, ACI, CAPA) are required.
• Current Nuclear Gage Safety and Transport Training certification.
• Current HAZWOPER certification.
• Strong ability to process and interpret test data using computer software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to present results clearly.
• Valid driver license and insurable driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory testing per established procedures and standards.
• Operate a nuclear densometer to measure material density.
• Process test data with specialized software and present results clearly.
• Communicate progress and results to clients, vendors, and staff.
• Produce accurate field notes and sketches for records and reference.
• Perform field and construction observations as needed.
• Travel to different work sites with a valid license and driving record.
• Work independently with initiative and problem-solving.
