Job summary

Astronics AES in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support our Cabin Power Electronics Team. You will perform complex technical tasks, build, repair, and troubleshoot electronic systems at the component level while maintaining thorough documentation for FAA and customer reporting requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electronics Technology or equivalent required.
• Typically 4–6 years hands-on electronics assembly, test and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing, checkout, modification, fabrication, and assembly of prototype electromechanical systems and test equipment.
• Solder wiring, cable builds, and basic machining to support prototypes and fixtures.
• Plan and execute testing from concept to troubleshooting with engineers.
• Design, build, test, and verify custom test fixtures and equipment.
• Support DO-160 and MIL-STD-461 testing where applicable.
