Job summary

Andrews Cooper is seeking aSenior Engineering Technician to support cutting-edge hardware projects across Consumer Tech, Medical Tech, Clean Tech, and Automation & Robotics. You will work on electromechanical assemblies, document updates, and on-site rework at client sites.

Ideal candidates bring 5–10 years hands-on experience, soldering and fabrication skills, and a willingness to travel up to 20% to multiple client locations.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED; an Associate degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics from an accredited university is preferred.
  • 5–10 years of hands-on technician experience.
  • Up to 20% travel between locations.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks required.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to standards, processes, tools, templates, and best practices that support the A-C brand.
  • Review/update mechanical drawings, electrical/plumbing schematics, and BOMs.
  • Assist in writing assembly and maintenance manuals.
  • Coordinate system packaging and delivery.
  • Provide assembly/test labor estimates for projects.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completion of a high school diploma or GED. Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics Associate degree from an accredited university is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of professional hands-on experience as a Technician.
  • Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
  • Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Electromechanical proficiency is strongly preferred: soldering, cable/harness assembly, connectorization, continuity checks, and basic board bring-up.
  • Skilled in fabrication and assembly- laser cutting, 3D printing, and precise mechanical assembly.
  • Comfortable executing builds for work instructions, drawings, and BOMs with high attention to detail.
  • Able to troubleshoot build issues and iterate quickly.
  • Ability to maintain build space, equipment, and tools.
  • Comfortable drilling, tapping, cutting, and filing with the use of hand, or power tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for adherence to standards, processes, tools, templates, and best practices that build and sustain the A-C brand.
  • Review, redline, and update mechanical drawings, electrical and plumbing schematics, and updates to BOMs.
  • Assist in writing assembly and maintenance manuals.
  • Assist in the coordination of system packaging and delivery.
  • Assist with project estimation by providing assembly and test labor estimates.
  • Ensure compliance with A-C's procedures as specified in the QMS and other procedures specified outside of the QMS.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for deliveries and on-site rework.
  • Ensuring safe practices at all times.

The salary range for this position is based on national rates. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Base Salary: $66,000.00 - $105,000.00 . Andrews Cooper is an equal-opportunity employer.
