Job description

Location : Overland Park, KS (preferred) — open to Ann Arbor, MI; Raleigh, NC; Houston, TX; or Jacksonville, FL

Duration : 6-month contract (potential to convert)

Pay : $37.50 / hour

Schedule : Monday–Friday, 40 hours / week

Clearance Requirement : U.S. Citizenship required

Are you a skilled engineering technician with strong structural experience and expert-level proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam? We're hiring for a key role supporting nuclear design projects for one of the nation's leading engineering firms.

What You’ll Do

• Support complex nuclear projects in a senior lead engineering technician capacity
• Create and modify design deliverables using Revit and Bluebeam
• Apply engineering principles and established design practices to develop structural design concepts
• Interpret schematics, plans, and engineering standards to generate accurate documentation
• Participate in quality assurance, drawing control, and continuous improvement efforts
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams
• Provide mentorship and technical direction to junior staff

What You Bring

• 8+ years of related structural drafting / design experience
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam is required
• Strong background in structural design , including concrete and steel
• Experience working on nuclear or highly regulated projects is a plus
• U.S. citizenship is required due to federal project requirements
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Drafting or Engineering Design Technology preferred

Ideal Candidates May Have :

• Experience supporting projects for DOE, DOD, NRC, or in utility sectors
• Familiarity with codes and standards used in large engineering projects
• Exposure to multi-discipline collaboration within CAD / BIM environments
