Job Description:

Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Security Technician to be tasked with system evaluations, design development, installation, and integration of technical security systems, network systems, and applications.

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Traveling domestically to develop, install, and integrate technical security systems, network systems, and applications in various government facilities
  • Reading, interpreting, and drawing electrical, electronic, and electromechanical schematics
  • Reading and interpreting building plans (blueprints)
  • Working with AC power distribution systems, motor-generators, motors, motor controls, disconnects, relays
  • Handling low voltage DC electronic systems / electromechanical systems
  • Using, repairing, and calibrating electronic test equipment – meters, oscilloscopes
  • Performing bench repair of electronic, electrical, and electromechanical equipment to the component level
  • Maintaining mechanical and electromechanical locking systems – electronic strikes, locks
  • Managing pedestrian and vehicular access control systems – door controls, vehicle barriers/arrest
  • Operating and troubleshooting CCTV systems – monitors, cameras, switchers
  • Maintaining Intrusion Detection Systems – alarms, detectors, sensors
  • Managing Public Address Systems – emergency notification systems, intercoms
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
  • Active Top Secret clearance or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in technical security systems
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in technical security systems, with the ability to test and troubleshoot TSS equipment, read schematics and manuals, solder and desolder components, and research parts, availability, and costs
  • Ability to complete and maintain a yearly medical clearance once employed

An active Top Secret security clearance is required. This position is part of our Federal Solutions team, delivering resources to US government customers to ensure mission success. Salary Range: $18.94 - $33.17

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k), life insurance, flexible work schedules, and holidays. This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days and typically for about 30 days until filled or canceled.
