Job summary

Global Technical Systems (GTS) seeks an Engineering Technician IV to support the development, life cycle sustainment, testing, integration, assembly and upgrade of Airborne EW systems in Crane, IN. The role works independently on moderately complex technician tasks and collaborates with engineers on larger projects to provide technical support for complex systems.

Qualifications

5-6 years of relevant experience as an engineering technician.
Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.

Responsibilities

Solve technical engineering problems in design development, testing, and maintenance of electromagnetic systems.
Perform assembly, testing, alignment, and troubleshooting of components and systems for repair or upgrade.
Install, connect, remove, and fabricate complex electronic/ mechanical assemblies as required.
Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain electronic/ mechanical machines and test equipment.
Assist in layout and construction of complex assemblies.
Develop detailed reports of inspections, assemblies, or events.
Mentor junior technicians in production and troubleshooting.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues using data packages and work instructions.
Aim to improve productivity while maintaining quality.
Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
