Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Field Engineer for advanced Airborne Electronic Warfare systems. This on-site role is in Crane, IN, with travel to CONUS/OCONUS locations and work around Navy aircraft.

Responsibilities include supporting Fleet/Depot repairs, writing procedures, coordinating drawings with draftsmen, and performing investigations and change proposals while maintaining readiness and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer, Electronic, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• At least four (4) years of field experience; additional years may be accepted in lieu of degree.
• Travel requirement of 25%, including CONUS/OCONUS.
• Must be able to be on a flight line for 12 hours during extreme conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work on and around US Navy aircraft in various environments.
• On-site at NSWC Crane to support Fleet/Depot repairs of assets.
• Write and validate procedures; coordinate with draftsmen to generate drawings.
• Perform Engineering Investigations and assist with Engineering Change Proposals.
• Respond to fleet requests for information.
