The City of Charlotte's Charlotte Water Department seeks an Engineering Project Manager Senior to lead and deliver large water and wastewater capital projects from inception to completion, including programming, planning, design, bids, and construction.

This role mentors staff, interfaces with City officials and the public, manages budgets and schedules, and ensures quality and compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited school.
• Five years of related work experience in engineering or construction management.
• Professional Engineer (or equivalent) licensure preferred; may be required.
• One year of supervisory experience; ability to obtain PE licensure within one year.

Responsabilidades

• Supervises and coordinates work activities of assigned staff; mentors staff; aids with career development.
• Provides expert technical advice and information to consultants, contractors, engineers, City officials, and the public regarding procedures, regulations, and standards.
• Assists with planning, implementation, and administration of division and program objectives; identifies and prioritizes projects for maximum impact and ROI.
• Manages the administrative aspects of projects: budgets, schedules, invoices, purchases, permits, and closeout documents; ensures quality control.
• Coordinates public relations and education activities; presents to City Council and civic groups; develops press releases and information materials.
