Kaukauna Utilities (KU) is seeking an experienced, hands-on Electrical Engineering professional to serve as our Manager of Engineering & Project Management. This role blends design work, project leadership, and staff supervision to support electric and water operations in our municipal utility.

You'll lead engineering studies, coordinate construction, manage budgets, and provide technical direction to a team of engineers and technicians, while collaborating with field crews and city partners to

Competenze

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
Five or more years of engineering experience, preferably in the utility industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience in utility infrastructure and engineering design with strong technical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, communicate effectively, and provide technical direction to others.
Willingness to work collaboratively with field crews and remain actively involved in engineering and operational challenges.
Valid driver's license.

Mansioni

Perform and oversee engineering studies, system planning, design, and construction documentation for electric and water utility infrastructure projects, including coordination with consultants and contractors.
Lead projects from planning and design through construction and completion, managing schedules, budgets, resources, and deliverables.
Coordinate construction activities, manage competing priorities, monitor project progress, and collaborate with field crews, City departments, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure timely, successful project completion.
Work directly with field crews and utility staff to troubleshoot issues, evaluate system needs, and develop practical, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Provide technical guidance, day-to-day direction, and supervision to engineering staff while remaining actively involved in engineering and project work.
