Job summary

Atomic Machines in Emeryville, CA, is seeking a highly technical Engineering Program Manager to lead the development and scaling of the Matter Compiler platform’s Nodes. You will define scope, ownership, metrics, and integrated plans to drive execution across ME, EE, Software, AI, and Operations.

Responsibility includes end-to-end program management, deployment processes for the Hybrid Fab, and dashboards for real-time health.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years in hands-on engineering leadership on complex multidisciplinary products.
• Experience delivering hardware-electronics-software systems from concept to manufacturing release.
• First-principles thinking with strong strategic tradeoffs.
• Experience with motion, sensing, and closed-loop control; embedded software.
• Ownership and clarity in ambiguous environments.
• Experience in iterative hardware development in fast-moving/startup contexts.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end program execution for Nodes, Modules, or Platform initiatives.
• Define scope, milestones, owners, success metrics, and delivery outcomes.
• Lead cross-functional planning across ME, EE, Software, AI, Operations, and Leadership.
• Build and maintain integrated execution plans linking strategy to daily work.
• Establish forecasts and improve learning rate while reducing friction.
• Design deployment processes for Hybrid Fab environment and rapid test cycles.
• Maintain dashboards and reporting for real-time program health.
• Build scalable processes to solve recurring challenges.
