Job summary

Residential Elevators seeks a VP of Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary team of mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineers in support of strategic growth. The role partners with Operations, Sales, Field Services, Quality, and Executive Leadership to balance technical vision with practical manufacturing execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering leadership experience.
• 5+ years managing engineering teams in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering organization (mechanical, electrical, manufacturing).
• Direct design and development of new residential elevator products and enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with elevator codes and standards (ASME A17.1 / CSA B44).
• Partner with Manufacturing to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput.
• Oversee software/controls development and system reliability.
• Support field operations with technical expertise and warranty reduction initiatives.
• Develop long-term product/technology roadmaps and strategic planning.
