Job summary

Verista in Columbus, OH is seeking a Sr. Engineering Project Manager to lead complex capital projects in pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage scope, schedule, budget, and risks on site.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering with 7–10+ years in life sciences, strong leadership, and experience delivering end-to-end capital projects, including packaging equipment and facility upgrades.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7–10+ years in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences environments.
• Proven experience leading end-to-end capital projects from planning through installation, startup, and handoff.
• Strong on-floor leadership coordinating Engineering, Manufacturing, Maintenance, Automation, Operations, EHS, contractors, vendors, and system integrators.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary capital projects within pharmaceutical and life sciences manufacturing environments.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects involving packaging and manufacturing equipment, production line upgrades, facility expansions, warehouse systems, cold rooms, VLMs, and facility/building improvements.
• Lead production line shutdowns, equipment replacements, installations, relocations, and cutovers, developing detailed shutdown strategies and recovery schedules.
