Job summary

IT Minds LLC in Ohio is seeking an Engineering Sr. Project Manager to oversee capital projects, facility modifications, and system-change initiatives at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing site.

You will manage engineering, facilities, equipment, and infrastructure from concept through completion, ensuring safety, quality, and GMP compliance. The role requires extensive experience in managing capital projects, construction, commissioning, validation, and working in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Engineering or related field with 6+ years directly related experience.
• Master’s in Engineering or related field with 10+ years direct experience.
• Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field with 15+ years direct experience.
• Experience in pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical manufacturing environments.
• Experience managing capital and expense projects.
• Experience with facility, equipment, utility, infrastructure, and/or manufacturing projects.
• Experience in GMP/cGMP-regulated environments.
• Strong budgets, schedules, cost forecasting, and contractor management.
• Experience with construction, commissioning, qualification, and validation.
• Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional engineering projects involving facilities, equipment, utilities, infrastructure, and system changes.
• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, budgets, and execution strategies.
• Develop project proposals, business justifications, cost estimates, execution plans, and project documentation.
• Manage capital and expense projects in accordance with site and global standards.
• Lead projects within active manufacturing operations while maintaining safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, utilities, maintenance, QA, validation, and other cross-functional teams.
• Oversee contractors, consultants, engineering teams, and third-party resources.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, cash-flow forecasts, and implementation plans.
• Track project progress against schedule, cost, scope, and quality objectives.
• Support commissioning, qualification, and validation activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues involving facilities and equipment.
