Job summary

MM Solutions in Colorado is seeking an Engineering and Operations Manager to lead a diversified team of five mechanical engineers and five lab technicians. You will drive design, assembly, and testing of switch matrices for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring products meet quality, cost, and schedule targets.

Responsibilities include setting priorities, coaching staff, coordinating with project coordinators, procurement, and suppliers, and guiding design decisions for manufacturability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with CAD tools and thermal analysis.
• Ability to guide a team in CAD and thermal analysis.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the design and layout of switch matrices to support DFM principles and serviceability.
• Lead, coach, and develop five mechanical engineers and five lab technicians responsible for system design, assembly, and testing.
• Work with integrators and technicians in support of manufacturability during integration.
• Coordinate with project coordinators and procurement to manage the schedule and part availability.
• Verify clear communication among project teams regarding issues during the build process.
• Set priorities and performance expectations, balance workloads, and provide tools and support.
• Review project progress and align production schedules with staffing and material availability.
• Foster collaboration between engineering and lab teams to ensure reliable testing and quality.
• Conduct monthly one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews.
