Job summary

Headway is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the Web Platform team, shaping strategy and mentoring engineers in frontend and platform development. You will partner with design, product, and leadership to align roadmaps with business outcomes and drive cross-team collaboration.

You will translate platform investments into measurable business value, maintain alignment across product teams, and communicate progress with clear documentation and metrics.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience leading engineering teams.
10+ years of experience as a Software Engineer.
Depth in modern frontend and web technologies.
Experience leading platform, infrastructure, or developer experience teams.
Understanding of how to advocate for foundational work in a product-outcomes-driven organization.
Strong strategic communication skills.
Ability to translate platform investments into business value for non-technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
Track record of building alignment across multiple product teams.
Ability to navigate competing priorities and drive a shared roadmap.
Ability to create organizational visibility through documentation, metrics, and stakeholder engagement.
