Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking an Engineering Manager II - Product Certification to lead the certification program and manage staffing for lab tests. You will assess project feasibility, set goals, coordinate specifications, and oversee documentation and test results.

You will work with cross-functional teams to drive compliance with NSF/ANSI 61, RoHS, REACH and other standards, directing the engineering group and implementing policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
• Seven or more years of product certification experience.
• Master’s degree could substitute for years of experience.
• Desirable certifications: NSF/ANSI 61, UL/CSA, NOM.
• European compliance knowledge: CE, RoHS, REACH.
• Experience with lab testing and project staffing.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct projects with detailed plans to meet goals.
• Manage agency certification projects for materials-related certs (NSF/ANSI 61, RoHS, etc.).
• Provide materials expertise within product and process teams.
• Direct the product certification engineering group’s work priorities.
• Implement engineering tools, policies, standards, and procedures.
• Review, approve product design changes and test data documentation.
• Evaluate technology and resources to plan project feasibility.
• Track performance and resolve problems.
