Discord is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for the Consumer Revenue team in San Francisco. You will build and scale the Nitro product, leading engineers across platforms to deliver revenue-driving features and services.

You will hire, coach, and shape an engineering culture that values ownership, collaboration, and data-informed decisions, while navigating ambiguity and aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Motivated to help team members succeed with engineers of multiple levels.
• Approach problems from first principles.
• Comfort with ambiguity and collaborative problem solving.
• Strong product sense and customer understanding.
• Use experiments to make data-informed decisions and value small improvements.
• Code not scary; still an engineer at heart when needed.

Responsabilités

• Build highly‑engaged teams by hiring, coaching, and instilling a sense of ownership and impact in your engineers.
• Work cross‑functionally with Finance, Customer Experience, Product, Design and Marketing to define your team’s vision and roadmap by understanding customer and business needs.
• Use your technical expertise to raise the bar and deliver extraordinary results at a high technical level.
• Develop insights into issues slowing down the team and implement processes to enable goal delivery.
• Mentor and guide engineers’ careers through coaching and opportunities that support their technical growth.
• Make sound decisions around resourcing and communicate rationale to partners and team members.
• Partner with Revenue leadership on strategic planning and continuously improve the Engineering organization while upholding workplace philosophy.
