Job summary

London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Index Tooling to lead globally distributed teams and oversee critical technology platforms supporting index management and workflows.

You will drive technical and architectural direction, ensure high-quality delivery, and partner with Product, Operations, and Architecture to enhance capabilities while improving resilience and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience in enterprise environments.
• Experience leading complex engineering products and platforms.
• Strong depth in architecture and tech strategy.
• Web app experience with Angular/React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML/CSS.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, GraphQL and microservices.
• Understanding of AI-assisted engineering and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead globally distributed engineering teams delivering and operating high-impact platforms for index management and workflows.
• Own end-to-end engineering delivery of scalable, secure, and highly available solutions.
• Provide technical and architectural direction for new capabilities and platform modernization.
• Ensure designs meet maintainability, security, performance and resilience standards.
• Drive modernization to cloud-native architectures and automation practices.
• Cultivate engineering practices: testing, CI/CD, observability, security, automation.
• Guide API/microservice designs and enterprise integrations.
• Promote responsible use of AI-assisted engineering and automation.
