Job summary

UL Standards & Engagement is seeking a Senior Manager, Engineering to lead engineering strategy and deliver complex safety-focused projects. This hybrid role is based in Evanston, IL; Raleigh-Durham, NC; or Ottawa, CAN, with opportunities to shape cross-functional safety standards development.

You will oversee end-to-end projects, guide junior staff, and collaborate with industry stakeholders to advance regulatory and safety objectives, while driving continuous improvement across engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong background in engineering principles related to product safety.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams and complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive Engineering strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
• Serve as technical lead for complex projects across product safety disciplines.
• Apply engineering methodologies and analytical frameworks to evaluate safety risks.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science or related field
