Job summary

UL Solutions in Northbrook, IL is seeking an Engineer to join our team. You will work within one of our operating units, contributing to safety, testing, inspection and certification across Built Environment and Energy & Industrial Automation.

The role requires completing your final year in STEM, holding a bachelor’s degree before start, and strong analytical skills. We offer a competitive salary of $77,000 plus a 5% target bonus, comprehensive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Be completing your final year of your undergraduate degree in Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical / TextileEngineering, Chemistry, Fire Safetyor related major.
• Hold a Bachelor’s degree prior to the intended full time start date.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Work within one of the operating units (Built Environment or Energy and Industrial Automation).
• Support testing, inspection and certification activities for buildings and products.
• Contribute to safety, risk management and tenant wellness validations.
• Collaborate with teams across Built Environment and Energy and Industrial Automation.
