Job summary

Cadence Design Systems in the United States seeks a Sr. Software Engineering Manager to lead the Geometry and Meshing teams within the Apex organization.

You will own the technical direction, execution, and delivery of core geometry and meshing capabilities, including CAD model preparation, geometry cleanup, defeaturing, mesh generation, mesh quality, and CAE preprocessing workflows. The successful candidate will mentor engineers, guide architecture decisions, and collaborate with product, QA,

Qualifications

• Bachelor or Master in CAD/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 20+ years in software with management of Geometry/ Meshing in R&D.
• Strong background in computational geometry, CAD modeling, geometry kernels.
• Experience with CAD/CAE products such as MSC Apex, Patran, ANSA, CATIA, SolidWorks, NX.
• Hands-on in C++, and familiarity with Python for automation.
• Experience guiding architecture and technical decisions for geometry/meshing.

Responsibilities

• Lead R&D initiatives for geometry and meshing.
• Collaborate with internal and external teams to deliver key projects.
• Contribute technically to geometry/meshing features in MSC Apex and other projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical or operational issues.
• Drive process improvements and best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster team growth.
• Participate in weekly technical discussions and feasibility analyses.
