CollectivIQ is hiring a Manager of Engineering to lead as a hands‑on, player‑coach technical leader for a high‑growth AI SaaS platform. You will architect production systems that connect large language models with enterprise apps, while guiding a distributed team and maintaining security, reliability and governance.

The role requires 8+ years of software engineering with leadership experience, strong Python backend skills, and experience with multi‑provider model orchestration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, software engineering, computer engineering, data science, or a closely related technical field.
• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 2+ years managing engineers or providing formal technical leadership.
• At least 5 years in a fast paced, start‑up environment.
• Recent hands‑on experience designing, building and operating production applications that use large language models or generative AI.
• Strong backend engineering skills in Python and experience designing production APIs, services, asynchronous workflows and data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve secure, scalable AI SaaS architecture.
• Contribute production code and oversee delivery; stay close to codebase.
• Design AI orchestration across multiple model providers.
• Lead engineers; coach and develop team; recruit new members.
• Partner with Product, Design, Security, and go‑to‑market leaders to turn customer problems into durable solutions.
• Set standards and operating practices to enable rapid, secure delivery.
