Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive architectural direction and operational excellence for our threat intelligence platform. You will oversee scalable services, data pipelines, and high‑performing teams to deliver reliable, world‑class security products.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with product managers and researchers, and translate complex threat data into automated experiences for customers while balancing speed and quality in a high‑growth environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with AI-assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• Background building high-performance APIs or platforms for threat intelligence, security operations, or large-scale data analytics.
• 8+ years of software development, focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems.
• Led engineering teams for 8+ years, directing architecture and operational excellence of large-scale security platforms.
• Proven ability to manage technical debt and mentor engineers in a fast-growth environment.
• Understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and automation of IOC ingestion and distribution.
• Experience with edge computing (e.g., Workers) and SQL-at-the-edge (D1/SQLite).
• Strong planning and execution skills to deliver reliable security features.

• Drive professional development of direct reports and collaborate with product managers and security researchers to turn complex threat data into intuitive, automated customer experiences.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment where software engineering meets security research.
• Deliver scalable distributed systems, manage complex data pipelines, and lead teams through the transition from "getting things done" to building world‑class, reliable products.

Requirements

• Experience with AI‑assisted development and agentic AI workflows.
• Prior experience building high‑performance APIs or platforms for threat intelligence, security operations, or large‑scale data analytics.
• 8+ years of Software Development experience, with a focus on Go, JavaScript, or distributed systems.
• Led high‑performing engineering teams for over 8 years, responsible for architectural direction and operational excellence of large‑scale distributed security platforms (e.g., Threat Intel APIs, automated mitigation systems). Proven ability to manage technical debt, drive professional development through strong mentorship, and excel at planning and execution to deliver predictable, world‑class products in a high‑growth environment.
• Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing technical debt in a high‑growth environment.
• Understanding of the Cyber Kill Chain and how to automate the ingestion and distribution of IOCs (IPs, domains, hashes, JA3/4 fingerprints).
• Experience with edge computing (e.g., Workers), SQL‑at‑the‑edge (D1/SQLite), and building systems that scale to handle trillions of signals.
• Excel at planning and execution to deliver predictable, reliable features for security teams.
• Strong mentorship and coaching skills to support the career growth of engineers in a specialized security engineering domain.
