Job summary

Illumio in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking an engineering leader to drive end-to-end delivery of cloud-based, high-performance systems. You will oversee 9+ engineers and managers, shape architecture, and mentor teams to ship secure, scalable software across multi-cloud environments.

You will collaborate with Product, Architecture, and DevOps, champion operational excellence, and push for strong engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 6+ years' experience building cloud-based high-performance systems.
• 7+ years' experience leading and managing high-performance teams.
• Led a team of 9+ engineers/managers with end-to-end delivery accountability.
• Excellent stakeholder and program management.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms like Azure, AWS and GCP.
• Experience in CI/CD environments and tooling.
• Strong hands-on development skills to prototype technical solutions.
• Agile (Scrum) experience and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage high-performing teams of 9+ engineers and own the accountability of complete end-to-end delivery.
• Drive design, development, implementation and documentation of engineering solutions.
• Excellent stakeholder and program management skills.
• Establish best engineering practices and operation excellence backed up with product, engineering and scrum metrics.
• Interact with other Illumio engineering teams for dependencies and deliverables.
• Engage with Product Management and Business to drive the agenda and priorities.
• Work with Architects and cross-functional teams following established architectural guidelines.
• Plan future roadmap with senior leadership.
• Participate in hiring and build high-performing agile teams.
• Interact with Business owners and technical teams globally.
