Job summary

Mission Design & Automation is seeking a Senior Controls Engineer to lead design, implementation, and documentation of controls systems for a variety of automated equipment. This role includes mentoring junior engineers and shaping projects from concept through startup.

You will collaborate across departments to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery, and provide input on quotes and material costs while ensuring compliance with specifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent technical experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, electrical and pneumatic design; experience with HMI, PLC, and robots.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Experience mentoring, coaching, and training staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and documentation of controls systems for automated equipment.
• Mentor, coach, and train entry level Controls Engineers.
• Communicate with multiple departments on project progress and status.
• Support quoting by providing input on concepts, hours, and material cost.
• Ensure projects meet scope, timing, and budget.
