Job summary

ServiceNow seeks a Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Automated Testing Framework (ATF) platform team, building AI-native intelligent testing capabilities for customers. You will guide multiple product teams, drive architecture and modern practices, and coordinate with product management to meet goals.

You will mentor engineers, manage resources, and push for scalable, secure software delivery across CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on testing at scale and upgrade stability.

Qualifications

• Ability to manage projects with material technical risk at a team level.
• Experience with open-source tools and agile development environments.
• Fluency in one or more relevant programming languages (Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.)
• Deep technical expertise in enterprise software development, architecture, and testing.
• Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, cloud platforms, and automation tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience providing direct field support to customers.
• Experience in leveraging AI to improve work processes and decision-making.
• Experience using AI productivity tools such as Windsurf, Cursor, etc. is a plus.
• 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5+ years in a management role.
• Fluency in multiple programming languages (Java, JavaScript, Python, etc.) and strong system design skills.
• Advanced working knowledge of test engineering processes and methodologies.

• Lead multiple product development teams and ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure software.
• Manage a team of engineers, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and career development.
• Drive engineering excellence through architecture, design, and adoption of modern software practices.
• Work with product management and cross-functional stakeholders to set priorities and achieve product and business goals.
• Establish, standardize and scale strategies and automation frameworks across teams to ensure product reliability and performance.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement across engineering functions, leveraging AI/ML where relevant.
• Drive knowledge sharing of best practices related to engineering standards with other teams within ServiceNow.
• Anticipate technical and organizational challenges and provide clarity and structured solutions.
• Manage resources, staffing, and succession planning to build and retain a best-in-class engineering organization.
