Job summary

Faire is seeking an experienced leader to head the Discovery Experience team. You will partner with product, design, and ML teams to craft fast, relevant, and deeply personalized search and discovery experiences for retailers.

You will own a critical part of the discovery stack, driving high-scale, low-latency systems and AI-powered capabilities that impact engagement and conversion. This role centers on unifying retrieval, ranking, personalization, and UX into a cohesive, measurable system.

Qualifications

• Experience building search or discovery products end-to-end.
• Strong appreciation for UX, relevance, and infrastructure interplay.
• Interest in AI-powered discovery and AI/LLM-enabled features.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the technical vision for Faire's discovery experience, spanning search UX, recommendations, and AI-powered discovery.
• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers focused on the retailer-facing discovery surface.
• Drive the integration of AI/LLM-powered capabilities into discovery and personalized results.
• Partner with product and design to raise the bar on search UX and accessibility.
• Enable rapid experimentation across discovery surfaces with ML teams.
• Champion observability and quality across the discovery stack.
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across relevance, ML, infrastructure, and product engineering.
• Attract, hire, and retain top engineering talent with an inclusive culture.
• Align discovery investments with Faire's growth strategy.
