Job summary

Flow Engineering seeks a senior engineering manager to lead the team building the core of our AI-native platform. This is the first dedicated engineering management hire, and you will own delivery for the engineers while staying hands on with coding.

You will report to our head of engineering and collaborate with product, design, and forward deployed engineers to ship high-impact features for hardware engineers. Expect end-to-end ownership, architecture decisions, and active customer engagement.

Qualifications

• 8+ years developing production software.
• 2+ years managing engineers.
• Track record shipping software that enterprise customers depend on.
• Still hands on with coding.
• Direct communicator who can give difficult feedback.
• Comfortable in a high-ownership, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of engineers, onboarding, feedback, and career development.
• Own product execution end to end, from scoping with customers through ship, measure, and iterate.
• Review code, make architecture calls, and contribute hands-on when needed.
• Help establish engineering best practices.
• Work directly with customers in hardware-focused environments.
• Partner with recruiting to build the team.
• Help set direction on how AI shows up in the product, with agentic workflows and LLM-powered features.
